Installations Instructions

Floor Gullies

1.       Install the floor drain at finished floor level.  Connect any side inlets.

2.       Adjust the position and height of the top section of the floor drain, Kent floor drains are height adjustable and can be rotated through 3600.

3.       After the laying of the floor tiles, insert a silicon joint between the framework and the flooring tiles.  Finally remove the protective plastic layer.

Channels

1.       Position channels in correct order and bolt together lengths using neoprene gaskets and stainless steel fixings.  We recommend a silicone sealant should be placed over the neoprene gaskets to form a seal and to protect the gaskets.

2.       Position channel into formed recess.

3.       Level channel to required height on concrete base using adjustable M10 bolts supplied with channel.

4.       To avoid flotation during installation it may be necessary to weigh down drainage channel.

5.       During installation timber spacing blanks should be fitted to avoid distortion of the channel.

6.       Keep inside of channel free of concrete at all times.

7.       After installation of channel remove all plastic coating and fit gratings.

Manholes

1. When the manhole is being installed, please ensure that the tray is fitted in the frame. This will prevent both the tray and frame from distorting when the concrete is being poured and whilst concrete is setting.

2. Once the concrete has set the tray can then be removed and the grease seal area can be filled with Marine grade grease, to a depth of 3mm below the top of the channel recess.

3. The depth and condition of the grease should be checked at constant intervals of every two to three months.

4. The above details are to ensure that the true benefits of the double sealed manhole are properly achieved throughout the life of the manhole.
