Kent Dished Ladder Grating

The Kent Dished Ladder Grating KDLG560/300 are external heavy duty storm drain covers specifically designed to suit any paved dished drainage channels. These are heelproof and very heavy loading drain covers. Often in a new streetscape enhancement project wheelchair access from the paved carriageway to the store front is encouraged. The means eliminating a kerb that may have been in place previously and there often is a dished channel in this location.

Each unit is curved to match the required adjacent stone radius, our standard drop being 10mm (0.39 in). Also bespoke radii are available to ensure a precise fit for any project often the contractor supplies us with a matching piece of stone. They come in Grade 316L Stainless Steel as standard with an option for grade 304L. They are supplied with choice between a discreet hinge or hidden lockdown point as standard. The grating is heel proof with a 8mm (1/3”) spacing between bars. This system is ADA compliant and is suitable for all public realm projects and commercial developments. The Kent dished ladder grating is engineered to withstand slow moving heavy vehicular traffic with 44 Ton Truck Loading. The load classification standard used in the UK and EU is EN124, and loading ‘B125’ will suit most applications for this product. In the USA & Canada the most appropriate load class is ‘Medium Duty’ from ASME A112.6.3 or CSA B79.3.
