Concentric Reducer type Hub Drain

 The KCHD4”/2”SCH10 is a Concentric Reducer type Hub Drain that is typically installed 3.5” or 90mm above Finished Ground Level. It most often has an open top where pipes can discharge into the drain that may need an air break. An 8” reducing to 4” is commonly used like this to take a number of discharge pipes.

On request a 4” or 8” ‘bottle’ trap type of foul air trap can be designed to sit into the upper or lower sections of the reducer body. Flow rates are then reduced to 22 US GPM (1.4 l/s) and 95 US GPM (6 l/s).

A ferrule top can be specified (suffix F) to allow discharge pipes to clamp onto the upstand.

A P-Trap can be supplied as an optional extra and this reduces the flow rate by approximately 15%.
