Our focus in Civic Building sector is on large government projects in Ireland, the UK, and the Middle East. Internal Drainage, Balcony/Roof/Threshold Drainage is attached to the building. We complete the project with an external works package – sometimes including Hostile Vehicle Mitigation.
We specialise in secure drainage for prisons, police stations custodial areas of courthouses and psychiatric institutions.
Starting internally, most of the custodial projects we supply require Stainless Steel Drainage for the prison cells, detention areas of prisons, garda / police stations, courthouses, and detention centres.
Most of these projects have Commercial Kitchens. This requires Stainless Steel Channel Drainage, Floor Gullies and Grease Interceptors. These Grease Traps can be installed at construction stage or Stainless Steel Grease Separators can be retrofitted into the restaurant kitchen.
In the Leisure Centre we supply Stainless Steel Floor Gullies with barefoot grates including tamper proof lockdown fixings. Some secure lockdown stainless steel channel drainage will also be needed in the shower areas.
On the roof the drainage is usually a Stainless Steel Scupper Drain, Parapet Drain which may feed down into a Rainwater Shoe or Downspout Nozzle.
Finally, at the end of the project we often provide the Stainless Steel Street Furniture including Flag Poles, CCTV Cameras, Planters, Bollards and in some cases PAS68 / Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) / Anti-Terrorist Street Furniture.
Larger projects with high numbers of meals served first need large Grease Traps sized for the correct volume of meals, along with feed in from Commercial Kitchen Drainage. We manufacture external recessed Grease Traps, Internal Recessed Grease Interceptors, and Internal Freestanding Stainless Steel Grease Separators/Traps.
Our stainless steel drainage channels are usually the commercial range channel as we are restricted to pedestrian traffic. These typically have secure lock down tamper proof fixings with pin hex heads. Stainless Steel Channels for Vinyl Floors are also popular, while Linear Shower Drains may be needed for walk in shower wetrooms.
Most Civic Building projects require mainly pedestrian only traffic stainless steel gullies or floor drains. We have similar size stainless steel gullies but with thicker top plates for car parks with a heavier loading requirement. Other pedestrian areas will require Vinyl Floor Gullies. Then in showers some of our Kitchen Drains are perfectly suitable for use also in barefoot areas like a walk in wetroom or shower as well as in the changing areas of the leisure centre.
All our lockable floor drains and gullies are regularly used with secure lockdown anti tamper fixings for prison, custodial, courthouse projects.
Most custodial projects require mainly pedestrian traffic only and our Commercial Range Access Cover is ideal. As well as Double Sealed Manhole Covers, we have Triple Sealed Odour Tight and Triple Sealed Water Tight Recessed Access Covers for areas with particularly strong smells or fumes. Hinged Access Covers are also popular for covering underground plant rooms.
Fire Rated Access Covers certified up to 180 minutes can be supplied for areas with large numbers of people to be evacuated
As we get to the perimeter of the building, we supply Scupper Drains or Parapet Drains to the roof. This feeds down into Rainwater Shoes or Downspout Nozzles.
At the front entrance either our Door Threshold Channel or a Curved Façade Slot Drain is typically used at the revolving doors
Finally,
at the end of the project we often provide the Stainless Steel Street Furniture including Flag Poles, CCTV Cameras, Planters, Bollards and in some cases PAS68 / Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) / Anti-Terrorist Street Furniture.
LED Handrails are particularly popular on hotel projects as well as LED Bollards.
