Project Overview

Kent Stainless was entrusted with providing high-quality stainless steel bollards for the Grand Hyatt Hotel in a coastal location. The bollards were designed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the hotel’s entrance while offering practical functionality, including integrated speaker systems and LED backlighting.

Key Features

• Grade 316L Stainless Steel: All bollards were fabricated from Grade 316L stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance, ideal for the harsh conditions of a marine environment.
• Bright Peened Finish: The bollards were finished with Kent Stainless’ proprietary “Bright Peened” finish, ensuring maximum protection against corrosion in seaside, marine locations.
• Laser-Cut Pattern Design: Large diameter bollards were designed with a custom laser-cut pattern to match the Grand Hyatt Hotel’s façade panel. The pattern was backlit with flexible LED modules, providing accent lighting for the hotel’s main entrance.

Additional Products and Features

• Integrated Speaker Systems: Secondary bollards featured built-in speaker systems that were discreetly integrated into the bollard design. This allowed for the concealment of audio equipment while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the public space.
• Enhanced Acoustic Design: Additional laser-cut patterns were incorporated into the secondary bollards to ensure sound could effectively emit from the bollards for optimal audio performance.
• Discreet Access & Anti-Tamper Features: All equipment and modules inside the bollards are accessible via a hidden cap, designed for easy maintenance while offering anti-tamper security to prevent unauthorized access.

Utility Installations

• Seamless Integration with Hotel PA System: The integrated speaker systems were connected to the hotel’s main public address (PA) system, allowing for efficient sound distribution without compromising the exterior design.
• Easy Maintenance: The design allows for easy access to all internal components for maintenance, while ensuring that access remains secure and restricted to approved personnel only.
