Kent Stainless designed and manufactured a range of heelproof ventilation grilles for this high-footfall area. The grade 316 stainless steel ventilation gratings were supported by a structural beam network, to EN1090 standard, which was also manufactured by Kent Stainless. Support steelwork and grilles were designed to achieve Category G load classification (gross vehicle weight of between 30kN & 160kN) in accordance with EN1991 standards. This was due to the finished area being within the MEWP access route, delivery zones and possible fire engine access. The grating panels were manufactured in various sizes to suit the site-specific requirements and finished with a 0.5Ra brushed polish finish.
